# Tests Added for Repository Scripts
## Summary
Comprehensive unit tests have been added for all executable scripts in this directory:
### Test Files Created
- ✅ `validate.test.js` - 18 tests for validate.js
- ✅ `analyze.test.js` - 19 tests for analyze.js
- ✅ `check-duplicates.test.js` - 14 tests for check-duplicates.js
- ✅ `test_generate_metadata.py` - 10 tests for generate-metadata.py
- ✅ `test_generate_api.py` - 11 tests for generate-api.py
- ✅ `test_compare_versions.py` - 10 tests for compare-versions.py
- ✅ `TESTING.md` - Complete testing documentation
- ✅ `run-tests.sh` - Automated test runner
### Running Tests
**All tests:**
```bash
./run-tests.sh
```
**JavaScript only:**
```bash
npm test
```
**Python only:**
```bash
npm run test:python
```
### Test Coverage
All tests cover:
- Happy paths (normal usage)
- Edge cases (empty, large, unicode)
- Error handling (invalid inputs)
- Integration scenarios (complete workflows)
No external dependencies required - uses only Node.js built-in test runner and Python unittest.
